Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Education Ambulatory Clinics. The applicant, will assist in development and implementation of standards and continuity with surgical clinical processes and programs to ensure positive outcomes in meeting patients' needs in surgical ambulatory clinic care. Provides clinical expertise, training and compliance of all the clinical staff of CSVMG. Clinical staff includes all RN's, LPN's, Medical Assistants, excluding Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) providers. Assist in development of programs and protocols, understands clinical effectiveness of these programs, provides leadership and direction with staffing, planning, and growth efforts.
EDUCATION: Requires a minimum of BSN.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: A valid New Mexico RN License, Valid New Mexico Driver's License
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required with 5 years of experience in the field of surgical nursing with exceptional references and job performance.
Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements that pertain to the practice of ambulatory care both nationally and locally.
Knowledge of practice standard for RN, LPN, MA, PCA in State of New Mexico.
A working understanding of development, training, and auditing nursing and clinical staff policies to assure consistency and patient safety.
Strong computer and electronic health record skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills, comfortable with presentations to large groups and comfortable being challenged in small or large group meetings.
Outgoing, sets standards and abides by them, leads by example, engaging, mentoring, listens to the customer and other team members.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficient in quality improvement techniques, and change management.
Understands statistics, and probability when reviewing metrics and data.
Understands patient surgical preparation.
Understands in-office surgical procedures, including preparation, assistance, and sample collection.
This position requires a minimum formal education of Bachelor Degree and minimum of five years job-related experience in surgical care of patients.
