Duke University Health System has 3 Emergency Departments across the hospital system - Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital and Duke Raleigh Hospital. All of the Emergency Departments are looking for experienced nurses to join the team. The teams are active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. The Emergency Department at Duke University Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center - comprised of 81 total beds including 18 Pediatric beds/36 Adult Monitored beds/8 Psychiatric beds/11 Evaluation beds/3 Consult beds/4 Triage beds/1 Sexual Assault Examiner Room/ and a dedicated central telemetry station. Duke University Hospital is consistently rated as one of the best in the United States and is known around the world for its outstanding care and groundbreaking research. Duke University Hospital has 957 inpatient beds and offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center; a major surgery suite containing 51 operating rooms; an endo-surgery center; an Ambulatory Surgery Center with nine operating rooms and an extensive diagnostic and interventional radiology area. In fiscal year 2018, Duke University Hospital admitted 42,916 patients and had 1,085,740 outpatient visits in fiscal year 2017. U.S News & World Report named Duke University Hospital #1 in North Carolina and #1 in the Raleigh-Durham area in 2019-20. Duke University Hospital is ranked in the top 20 nationally for seven adult specialties, including cardiology and heart surgery, nephrology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pulmonology, rheumatology, and urology. The Emergency Department at Duke Regional Hospita l is a 40 (moving to 49 beds in April 2021) bed unit serving the adult population (transfer pediatric once stable) with an additional 6 bed observation unit (moving to 12 beds in April 2021). Duke Regional Hospital has served Durham, Orange, Person, Granville and Alamance counties and the surrounding communities for nearly 41 years. With more than 1,900 employees, its focus is on providing outstanding medical care with compassionate, personalized service in a comfortable community hospital setting. Duke Regional Hospital has 369 inpatient beds and offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, women's services, and heart and vascular services, and also offers care at the Duke Rehabilitation Institute and Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center. We are a Level 3 Geriatric Accredited Emergency Department as of 2020, the Cath lab/ED was awarded the 2020 Chest Pain - MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award for commitment to delivering the highest quality in cardiovascular care. We were also recognized in 2019 with the Stroke Gold Plus Target Elite Plus Honor Roll Award for stroke care.In fiscal year 2018, Duke Regional Hospital had 62, 738 Emergency Department Visits in FY2019. U.S. News & World Report ranked Duke Regional Hospital as #11 in North Carolina and #4 in the Raleigh-Durham area for 2019-20. The Emergency Department at Duke Raleigh Hospital is a medium sized community based hospital located in Raleigh, NC. 36 bed (growing to a 50 bed unit by EOY 2023)- serving the adult population (transfer pediatric once stable) with an additional 12 bed observation unit. Duke Raleigh Hospital offers the latest in care and technology in a patient-friendly setting. It has been an important part of Duke Health since 1998 and has served Wake County for more than 35 years, employing more than 1,300 people. The hospital provides 186 inpatient beds and a comprehensive array of services, including the Duke Raleigh Cancer Center, Duke Raleigh Orthopedic and Spine Center, cardiovascular services, neurosciences including the Duke Raleigh Skull Base and Cerebrovascular Center, advanced digestive care, disease management and prevention, wound healing, outpatient imaging, intensive and progressive care, pain clinic, same-day surgery, emergency department and community outreach and education programs. Duke Raleigh Hospital is the only comprehensive stroke center in all of Wake County. In fiscal year 2018, Duke Raleigh Hospital admitted 9,484 patients and had 230,957 outpatient visits in fiscal year 2017.
