San Ramon Regional Medical Center began serving residents of the San Ramon Valley and its surrounding communities in 1990. Located on a hillside overlooking the valley, we are a 123-bed, acute-care hospital, primary stroke center, and a cardiac heart surgery hospital. This position reports to Director of Nursing, Surgical Services. Responsible for coordination of patient care in the perioperative environment. Manages staff members in the Outpatient Surgery (OPS), GI Lab, PACU and Pre-Admit Testing with staff, physicians and Surgical Services Director on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital and unit policies and procedures to ensure patient needs are met. Actively participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Formulates budget for the departments listed above.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited RN Nursing Program
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Minimum of four (4) years recent perioperative/ambulatory nursing experience
Minimum of two (2) years recent perioperative/ambulatory management experience preferred
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
Current CA Registered Nurse License
Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified)
Current ACLS certification (AHA certified)
Current PALS certification (AHA certified)
Certification in specialty - preferred
