The Zablocki VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Physician/Program Manager (General Internal Medicine or Family Practice) to oversee the primary care provider team at Appleton, WI Clinical-based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Northeast Wisconsin. One will serve as the Physician/Program Manager in Primary Care for the Appleton VA outpatient Clinic in Appleton, WI. The incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of the primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants at the Appleton VA CBOC. The incumbent will also work closely with the Appleton CBOC leadership team and the NEWAC (Northeast Wisconsin VA Ambulatory Clinics) leadership team to develop best practices and processes for the provision of primary care services for NEWAC patients. Candidates with a proven track record in leadership, success in managing clinical outcomes, and a high interest in health care administration are encouraged to apply. Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. VA or other federal healthcare supervisory experience is preferred. Prior medical home panel management experience in the private sector or PACT experience in the VA is required. Our community-based outpatient clinics offer a full spectrum of Primary Care, Women's Health, Podiatry, and Eye Care. These services are in addition to the full spectrum of comprehensive health care at the main facility in Milwaukee, WI. Duties: The incumbent will serve as an effective leader and program manager to oversee the primary care provider team at our Clinical-based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) provider team. The Physician/Program Manager in Appleton will be responsible for oversight at the Appleton CBOC. Duties include supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers as deemed necessary. The incumbent may participate in meetings with the Zablocki VA Medical Center leadership in Milwaukee, WI. Ability to travel within VISN12 and, on occasion, nationally is required. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with the potential for limited extended hours in the afternoon and on the weekend. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
