You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates advanced functional knowledge of Epic Cadence, applicable third-party solutions, and the Microsoft suite of products
Serves as a contributing member of the PE Enterprise template team, dedicated to the development of electronic solutions that support practice and clinical work that aligns with the current best practice standards of AdventHealth.
Develops and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders; meets with customers and sponsors to capture business & technical requirements
Demonstrates knowledge of processes within the clinics; assesses workflows, identifies gaps, defines necessary changes to provider templates within the Epic system.
Designs, builds and configures within assigned Epic system the scheduling templates and modules and any supporting third-party applications; develops and maintains system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools; identifies and implements requested changes to the system
Collaborates with AIT Cadence team to establish and maintain a partner style relationship in order to ensure changes are done properly and efficiently.
Ability to configure and build Epic templates for unique department scenarios using the application tools; with minimal assistance from team members and/or manager.
Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants
Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates. Ensures that all software modifications/upgrades are working according to Epic specifications.
Contributes to preparation of training materials and provides education on new applications or functionality.
Participates in team meetings, project meetings, product validation and testing, and other meetings when requested.
Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies and initiates escalation procedures with minimal supervision as required. Provides recommendations for resolution of the problems found
Communicates necessary changes made in the application amongst team members and site contacts as appropriate
What You Will Need:
B.A., B.S., or similar in a field of study such as business, IT, or a healthcare related area required or commensurate experience.
2-4 years of experience with Healthcare technical systems, required
1-2 years of experience leading groups in projects, required
Epic systems experience, preferred
Ambulatory Clinic Experience, preferred
Must be willing to travel to AHMG practices
AdventHealth Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Work with minimal guidance
Possessing an intermediate understanding of system build and implementation, the ability to analyze and understand business problems, and the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet the organizational goals of maintaining clinical and business systems.
Implementing secure, effective, patient scheduling systems that continually improve outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences. Primary responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians, end users and AIT of the Epic system to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain assigned applications and other associated systems.
Utilizing knowledge obtained from clinical process, and information technology to manage data and determine components that are suitable to build while maintaining alignment with the professional standards of the business practice.
Facilitating the coordination of physicians and end users in the analysis and documentation of clinical workflows, performing gap analysis, identifying needed process changes, and developing future workflows during the implementation of new solutions or functionality.
Coordinating end-user training, providing clear communication / documentation, and assist in developing members within the department.
Communicating with all levels of AIT leadership, PE Enterprise leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff as required per job role.
Providing and assisting senior members with status reports, problem-resolution summaries, and other reports as required.
