The incumbent will be a licensed pharmacist preferably residency trained, board certified, and/or with equivalent experience working as a pharmacist with a scope of practice in the Ambulatory Care/PACT setting. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The incumbent will be a licensed pharmacist, preferably residency trained and board certified, responsible for the daily professional and administrative management of assigned Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Programs within Pharmacy Service. He/she will be expected to coordinate, monitor, develop, and evaluate clinical practice activities for Ambulatory Care Programs under their supervision to attain and maintain practice consistent with VHA, VISN, facility, and professional best practice standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the personnel management of pharmacists and clinical pharmacy technician(s) supporting clinical pharmacy services within the section. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining effective intra-department and inter-department relations to accomplish the VHA, facility, and department mission and assure the work completed within the Ambulatory Care Section is in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, established or emerging best practices, and coincide with the overall mission of the VA North Texas Health Care System. The incumbent will work cooperatively as part of the Pharmacy Service leadership team for the planning and coordination of care, budgetary execution, resource allocation, and development of policies and procedures. The incumbent will work cooperatively with other members of the department and health care system management and leadership teams. The incumbent also actively participates in local, VISN, and national advisory/work groups, is an active member in national and/or state pharmacy and health care organizations and is a subject matter expert on matters related to Ambulatory/Primary Care clinical pharmacy practice. The incumbent maintains clinical practice activities with a scope of practice within the Ambulatory Care setting. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (Tour may be adjusted to meet agency needs).
