The scope of this position extends into all areas of the Ambulatory Care Service to include Outpatient Care, Employee Health, Compensation and Pension, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) - including contract clinics. The Ambulatory Care Clinical Coordinator is accountable for a wide variety of operative, administrative, and clinical activities in the Ambulatory Care Service. The title of this position is descriptive of the diverse responsibilities held by the position. As the Ambulatory Care Clinical Coordinator, this position reports directly to the Associate Chief of Staff/Ambulatory Care Service. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Monthly performance reviews and quarterly ACOS updates for all Primary Care providers including CBOC clinics. Occasional patient flow coverage as needed. Coordinates OPPE chart reviews for all providers for Quality Assurance and Credentialing. Assist with new provider orientation. Provider training on clinical reminders, new processes, and clinical activities. Monitoring daily clinical reminder reports for each provider and addressing problems identified. Coordinate Medical Residents activities in the Ambulatory Care clinics. Respond to congressional inquiries (function as back-up). Review and coordinate corrections to medical record coding. Coordinate follow-up for Code 4 radiology exams. Perform daily clinical reminder report reviews with follow-up as indicated. Act as patient advocate/service partner to resolve patient issues. Completion of reports for Medical Records Committee and the Compliance Committee. Assist when needed with the medical Staff Council, Quality, Safety, and Value Council as well as Timeliness of Care Reports. Other duties/special assignments as assigned in support of the Medical Center Mission and Ambulatory Care Services. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
