Orlando VA Medical Center is seeking innovative, energetic nurse leaders for their ambulatory care nursing management roles available in the following Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) locations: Tavares, FL. CBOC- Also providing coverage for the Deltona CBOC. Kissimmee, FL. CBOC-Also providing coverage for the Clermont CBOC. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) functions as a supervisor and assumes accountability for the operation of the assigned departments. This includes the management, supervision and evaluation of care delivered by nursing and other allied health care staff. As a registered nurse, the ANM demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise, leadership, and creative approaches to management of complex care. The Assistant Nurse Manager is also responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of evidenced-based nursing standards of practice. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, he/she creates a positive work environment which enhances care delivery and professional development of clinically competent staff. This RN is a nurse supervisor and provides oversight for the administration of leave, counseling and disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. The ANM serves as Acting Nurse Manager in the absence of the Nurse Manager but could also be pulled into providing direct patient care in the clinic as needed. The Assistant Nurse Manager will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the respective clinic. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/0800-1630. *Workday/hour flexibility required as administrative and/or clinical demands require. Shift, weekend and holiday rotation may be required.
