Occupational Summary

The ACE Information Delivery Intern is an Entry-level Change Control Analyst (CCA)/Jr. Business Intelligence Developer (BID) responsible for overseeing Information Delivery's participation in the larger Maestro Care change control process, including shepherding the team's changes through the process, testing new development, and providing quality control as necessary.  

The CCA/Jr. BID also has responsibilities for basic report development and customer assistance with Epic's self-service reporting tools such as Reporting Workbench (RWB) and SlicerDicer.  In this capacity, the BID functions as a data and reporting expert for these tools and is responsible for working with Maestro Care users across Duke Health to understand their data and information needs and to provide first-line consultation on these self-service tools.

Work Performed

• Individual contributor representing the most common entry point for this career ladder;  works under the direct supervision of Tech/Team Lead or higher and collaborates as a member of a self-organizing team
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and follows all change control processes defined within Maestro Care, serving as the point of contact between the Information Delivery team and the Change Management Board
• Implements Information Delivery team's changes in the production system following Maestro Care Change Management guidelines, following up with fellow team members for quality control as needed
• Creates basic reports using self-service analytics tools such as SlicerDicer and Reporting Workbench as assigned
• Participates in the planning and delivery of customer training sessions on the use of these self-service reporting tools
• Responds to customer requests for assistance with self-service reporting tools as assigned and prioritized by manager;  maintains ongoing communications (timely, clear, concise, and accurate) with customers keeping them apprised of request statu
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
