Overview
Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing medical group to perform a Lead role for our Recovery Pathways program. Recovery Pathways is a team-based, ambulatory, co-occurring substance use and mental health disorder recovery service at Kaiser Permanente NW. This role will work virtual (from home 2 days per week) and at one of our medical offices (Rockwood or Tanasbourne Medical office) when in clinic.
You will have dedicated time to support the Recovery Pathways program a minimum of 2 days per week. Subspecialty fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is required for this Lead role. We prefer 2 years of experience in an ambulatory addiction specialty treatment setting with office-based buprenorphine treatment, ambulatory management of withdrawal and outpatient induction of treatment with intramuscular naltrexone.
As a physician with specialty training in co-occurring disorders you will provide consultation for other clinicians within Mental Health and Addiction Medicine Departments and for medical/surgical inpatient, as needed. Our team uses a combination of face-to-face care and the latest virtual modalities to provide evidence-based, psychiatric treatments, including primary care consults, crisis interventions and medication consultation. Our onsite care model supports at least 50% virtual visits. It is preferred that applicants have experience with digital technologies (examples include telehealth and/or digital health). If no direct experience, then you will need to demonstrate both flexibility and adaptability to incorporate these into your practice as we continue to evolve our virtual care model. A comfort level with concurrent documentation is also needed.
