The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) seeks MD candidates who are board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology for a full-time faculty position to provide clinical diabetes care and participate in and/or develop scholarly activities in the Diabetes Section. The position is a unique role that includes providing consultative services on the inpatient Diabetes Management Service, seeing patients in an ambulatory diabetes-focused practice and working with other departments in the hospital (e.g., Primary Care) on population diabetes management programs.  In addition to clinical practice, candidates will have opportunities to participate in education, research, and/or quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will also engage in teaching students, housestaff, and fellows in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings.

The optimal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills for both patient care and colleague interactions, a strong interest in clinical innovation, a commitment to providing the highest quality of medical care for patients with diabetes, and a track record of academic excellence. Appointment at the level of Instructor or Assistant of Professor at Harvard Medical School and compensation will be commensurate with experience and institutional policies.
