The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible to the Chief Operating Officer for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all functions and activities for assigned patient care programs / units, to ensure delivery of optimal quality care and organizational effectiveness. The Executive Directorfor Surgical Services is directly responsible for Main Operating Rooms, all Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Units, Pre Admission departments, Central Sterile Processing Department, Endoscopy, Robotics, and future Ambulatory Surgery Center.Indirectly: advises/manages all service areas that impact patient care for the surgical patient population. Plans, directs, coordinates and serves as the administrative liaison for surgical services activities, projects and programs, including marketing and philanthropy, and any other activities surgically related in nature. Requires working closely with the medical leadership regarding surgical patient services, including, but not limited to, the delivery of services, state of relevant technology and equipment, revenue generation, establishment, reimbursement for changes, budget, and all other administrative matters, as related. Evaluate patient care, operational efficiencies, performance methods and employee issues, and make recommendations. Participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Works with the executive team to plan and implement strategies to build service lines, increase market share and provide optimal efficiencies for patients and physicians.

Support, promote and participate in local community service activities, local community boards, and events where leadership should be visible and networking with the community
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required.
A minimum of five years of experience in the development and coordination of surgical services programs;
Extensive experience working closely with physicians and proven ability to gain trust and credibility;
Extensive experience facilitating and managing challenging situations, including conflict resolution and demonstration of outstanding interpersonal skills;
Experience in facilitating high-level multi-disciplinary group decisions.
Current and valid State of Florida license as a registered nurse
