Position Summary: The Perioperative RN is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating nursing functions in an ambulatory surgery setting. The Perioperative RN functions independently when utilizing the nursing process for nursing care and health teaching in the maintenance and the promotion of health or prevention of illness. The Perioperative RN functions interdependently when executing a medical regimen under the direction of a physician. The Perioperative RN is accountable and responsible for facilitating improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction. This position requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral and sociological sciences, and requires critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data. The Perioperative RN collaborates with patients, patient families/significant others, physicians, patient care staff, management, and community partners.
Minimum Requirements: Two years of experience as a Perioperative RN preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire Current WA state Registered Nurse license CPR Certification ACLS Certification
