Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. Assigned tasks may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, performing point of care lab testing, assisting with procedures and triaging patient phone calls. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with applicable state regulations.
Responsibilities
Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing and medication administration. Assists with medical office procedures.
Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
