The role you’ll contribute:
The Director will set and execute on the strategic plan for Ambulatory Surgical Services in the Central Florida Division. This role will provide administrative oversight with comprehensive responsibility for strategic planning, operations, and execution for Ambulatory Surgery Centers along with other outpatient procedural sites in the Central Florida Division.This may include the following services; ambulatory surgical centers, GI endoscopy departments, pain management services, pre-operative services, post anesthesia care units, and other anesthesia/procedural areas.
With operational oversite of both AdventHealth owned and managed surgery centers but also joint-ventured centers across the division, this role is accountable for and will oversee multiple centers in a growing strategy. Is responsible for staffing standards, resource needs, and compliance of clinical and regulatory standards, strategic planning, development of standardized services, and the integration of hospital and non-hospital based encounters for specific age groups as defined in scope of services. Works with multidisciplinary leadership in the planning, and implementation of system-wide programs that align with the goals of the organization.
Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

·Ensures that safe continuity of care is provided for departments in Ambulatory Surgical Services which may include but is not limited to; Anesthesia Care, Pre-testing, Pre-op, Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, and sterile processing.
·Keeps the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
·Establish the division’s business direction for Ambulatory Surgery and Procedural Services, considering clinical and financial data, resources, and consumer drivers.
·Adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules and regulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
·Develops, implements, manages and monitors the budget for defined area(s) of responsibility.
·Assists in service line proformas, capital equipment planning, and supply chain management.
·Provides direct clinical and operational oversite of all majority and minority owned surgery centers throughout the central Florida division.
·Provides strategic guidance and indirect clinical and operational oversite of all minority owned ambulatory surgery centers across CFD.
·Will directly oversee all operational support functions necessary to operate a network of Ambulatory surgery centers including but not limited to business office, clinical operations, purchasing, IT, consumer experience, etc.
·Monitors operational and market performance indicators and develops action plans to meet established goals.
·Oversees workforce performance by providing feedback, instructions, and developmental guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities.
·Allocates decision making authority and or task responsibility to appropriate levels of leadership to maximize the organization’s and individual’s effectiveness.
·Exercises leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently using effective written and verbal communication.
·Ensures that areas of responsibility provide exceptional consumer experiences and meets or exceeds services standards.
·Effectively communicates with patients, families, employees, physicians and other department leaders.
·Develops strategic relationships in the community including healthcare industry, informatics and academia.
·Supervises multiple Ambulatory Surgical Centers and Providers within those centers
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
·Develops and manages the implementation of AdventHealth objectives and goals.Responsible for ongoing evaluation of processes and assuring standardization of work instructions are fully deployed in areas of responsibility.
·Monitors clinical and operational performance indicators and develops action plans to meet established goals.
·Acts as a change agent, utilizing change theory to plan for the implementation of organizational change, supports staff during the change, and adapts leadership style to the situations of the change.
COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY:
·Promotes a safe environment: Supervises and initiates appropriate action in emergency situations, demonstrates awareness and control of hazards which may endanger patients, visitors and employees, identifies environmental concerns by conducting routine unit rounds, communicating necessary precautions for the safe environment.
·Ensures adherence to appropriate regulatory standards.
OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
·Manages financial resources to assure needed resources are available to care for the patient.
·Develops, implements, and monitors the budget for their defined area(s) of responsibility.
·Utilizes hospital database management, decision support, and systems program to access information and analyze data from for use in planning for patient care processes and systems
·Assists in service line proformas, capital equipment planning, and supply chain management.
STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:
·Participates in strategic planning in collaboration with AdventHealth Ambulatory, Institute leaders and organizational Vice Presidents; recommends and implements goals and objectives.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Business, Nursing or other related field
·Six (6) years’ experience in healthcare leadership
·Four (4) years’ experience in leadership roles in O
·Four (4) years’ experience in leadership roles in Outpatient Surgery Centers or comparative entity
·Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered
Preferred Qualifications:
·Experience in the clinical setting related to area of specialty
