We employ multiple surgical residencies and fellowships and have been named among the top 100 teaching hospitals nationally by Truven Analytics. The System Chair for the Department of Surgery is the chief administrative officer of the Department and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. The role is defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws and in addition there are specific duties as outlined below.The Department provides high-quality, multispecialty care to patients at Trinity Health facilities in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Livingston, and Canton
